Asking for higher taxes during a recession was not feasible. Our community was suffering through loss of employment and income. Your Fire District did what was necessary to maintain services despite a loss of income, by using reserve funds which had been built up over many years. After those funds were depleted, Proposition E and F were requested to restore our budget and make needed improvements.
